The Nebraska men’s golf team has produced an impressive tradition of success. Since its inception in 1935, the Huskers have made seven NCAA Regional appearances, including a 14th-place finish at the 1999 NCAA Championship.
In 2007 Brady Schnell became the first Husker to earn All-Big 12 first team accolades. Since Bill Spangler took over in 2001, Nebraska has produced 31 academic all-conference selections, including six All-Big Ten academic honorees in 2012.
Coach Robin Krapfl has been a leader in shaping the history and tradition of the Nebraska women’s golf program since her days as a Husker golfer in the 1980s. Krapfl has guided Nebraska to 11 NCAA Regional appearances and three NCAA Championship bids since 1994.
The Huskers completed their first season as a member of the Big Ten Conference in 2011-12 and Madeleine Scheils captured first-team All-Big Ten honors. The Boise, Idaho, native was also a Big Ten All-Tournament selection after tying for third at the 12-team conference championship.
A total of 28 Huskers have earned all-conference honors since 1978.
