About

The Huskers Athletic Fund is the official fundraising office of Nebraska Athletics. Donations to the Huskers Athletic Fund are eligible to receive benefits such as priority seating, exclusive access, VIP experiences and more.

Membership levels are based upon total annual giving to Nebraska Athletics, which includes donations to funding priorities, 1890 Nebraska, and priority seating funds. Membership benefits will run from July 1 - June 30 of the fiscal year.

With student-athlete experience costs rising nationally, Nebraska Athletics depends on investors, who understand the need for continuous advancement. Your support is essential to recruit student-athletes, who compete for championships and earn college degrees.

Ways to Give

How to Give

Contributions to the Huskers Athletic Fund can be made by cash, check, eCheck or credit card. The HAF accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Checks should be made payable to the University of Nebraska Foundation, with student-athlete support denoted in the memo line.

Pledge

You may make a pledge to support the Huskers Athletic Fund. The pledge can be paid in full or installments, with the pledge balance due by April 1. Statements will be sent periodically reminding you of the April 1 deadline and your remaining contribution balance.

Online Giving

Current donors and new donors making first-time gifts should visit huskers.com/myaccount. Current donors can sign in and click on "manage my donations" or "make a donation" to increase current contributions. First time donors will click "create account" before contributing.

Planned Giving

A planned or deferred gift may offer substantial tax and estate planning benefits and provide a lasting impact to Nebraska Athletics. Our team is happy to work with your professional advisors to decide which gift option works with your goals and interests. More information is available under the Devaney Legacy Society.

Endowments

Scholarship endowments and program endowments provide a perpetual source of financial support for the Nebraska Athletic Department. More information is available under the Devaney Legacy Society.

Matched Giving

Many organizations will match contributions to nonprofit entities such as the Nebraska Athletic Department. Your organization's matched gift will increase your lifetime giving status and further support our mission to provide the best student-athlete experience in the nation. Under the new tax reform, organizations cannot match contributions connected to tickets or priority points. All philanthropic gifts that are tax deductible are eligible for matched giving. Please work with your benefits office and mail all matching gift forms to our office:

Huskers Athletic Fund
625 Stadium Drive PO Box 82848
Lincoln, NE 68501-2848

Additional questions can be directed to our office at (402) 472-3111.

Priority Points

Nebraska Athletics uses priority points to award tickets and seat locations for away games, postseason events, single game ticket purchases, and to assign time slots for the online Seat Yourself process to acquire/change season tickets.

Current Drive Year Incentive:

  • 3 points for every $100 given in the current drive year.

Lifetime Giving:

  • 1 point for every $100 given in previous/future drive years.
  • Priority points accumulate and are recalculated each year to rank donors.

TAXES

Tax reform legislation passed in December of 2017 impacted donations associated with tickets to college athletic events. This includes any gift associated with season tickets or priority points, which are currently not tax-deductible. This information is not intended to provide or should not be relied on for tax, legal or accounting advice. Please consult your tax advisor(s) concerning the application of tax laws to your particular situation.

Can I decline Priority Points to receive a tax deduction?

Yes! If the fund is not associated with tickets/parking, you may decline priority points to improve tax deductibility. Please write this on your donor statement or enter in the comments section when donating online.
